Rastee Chaudhry

Rastee Chaudhry is a Research Associate for the RISE Programme at the Blavatnik School of Government, University of Oxford. She is interested in understanding policy levers that interact with education challenges in the developing world, particularly for the system of state education. She has a background in education policy and economics with a Master of International Education Policy from Harvard University and a Bachelor of International Economics from the University of British Columbia, placing her well to work at the intersection of policy and research. Prior to joining RISE, Rastee designed the first early childhood education policy for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan and co-designed an early childhood development policy framework for the provinces of Pakistan. She is also interested in education measurement and co-designed a national index for tracking early childhood development metrics in Pakistan. Rastee has also worked on education programmes, research, and measurement with fieldwork across Pakistan.
