Malavika Divakaran

Malavika Divakaran is a Research Associate with the RISE India team and J-PAL South Asia. She works on the Tamil Nadu Early Childhood Education Project (TNECE), which aims to improve foundational skills and school-readiness through the introduction of kindergarten in the public school system in Tamil Nadu. Before entering the research sector, Malavika worked in social services with an adolescent maternal health and parenting programme in the USA and a community development organisation in Haiti. She holds a master's in Public Health from the University of South Florida and a bachelor's in International Studies from Birmingham-Southern College.
