Kara Hanson

Kara Hanson is a member of the RISE Intellectual Leadership Team. She is a Professor at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). She is a leading researcher on health systems, focusing on the ways in which the organisation and financing of health care systems – including pricing issues and engagement with the private sector – affect health outcomes and equity. She received her PhD from the Harvard School of Public Health, and joined LSHTM in 1997.
