Chukwuka Onyekwena is a Key Researcher on the RISE Nigeria team and the Executive Director of the Centre for the Study of the Economies of Africa (CSEA). He holds a PhD in economics from the University of Portsmouth (UK), a Master of Science degree in economics from the University of Kent (UK), and a Bachelor of Science in economics from the University of Nigeria Nsukka. His research interest is mainly in the areas of foreign direct investment (FDI), trade, global economic governance, education, climate change, and financial inclusion. He is a member of the Steering Committee of the West African Think Tank Network (WATTNet), a network of ten think tanks in West Africa. He is also a member of the advisory group of the AfricaGlobal Economic Governance Project.
