About the event
The RISE Annual Conference 2016 took place on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 June at the Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford.
The objective of the RISE Annual Conference 2016 was to bring together high profile academics and policy makers to discuss the emerging RISE research agenda. The event featured two Country Research Team (CRT) sessions focusing on the research proposed by the country teams selected under the first call, and four contributed sessions focusing on themes central to the RISE research agenda: teachers, governance, the politics of change and methods for education systems research. There was also an invited session where globally prominent panellists debated strategies for meeting the education Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and an evening poster session which showcased papers with particularly interesting figures, stylised facts and trends.
